Background themes and the Hassle-Free package are bought from VuCalendar on the web while signed in. Your account links the purchase to the app over a secure connection, so what you buy on the web shows up on your device.
The future SkyVu tier spans a Mac & Windows desktop app plus your phone, with cross-device sync and an on-device AI assistant. Details when it's closer.

Why it's built this way
Most apps make you commit to a subscription before you know it's worth it. We do the opposite — small, owned unlocks that prove the deal, with no pressure to ever go further.
Unlock one feature for a few dollars and keep it for life. A small, honored purchase lowers the friction on the next — trust earned per step, not demanded up front.
Some users grow into ProVu's reflection layer; many never do, and that's a complete, legitimate outcome. We will never make LocalVu worse to push the subscription.
A LocalVu feature is yours even if our pricing changes later — early buyers are grandfathered into their terms. Cancel ProVu and your owned features stay; nothing is deleted.
No countdown clock
There's no time-limited free trial because there doesn't need to be one. The free tier is a complete, unlimited evaluation of the whole app — live with it as long as you like before you ever meet a paywall.

Yes. BasicVu gives you all three calendar views in full, time-of-day planning, tracking modes (up to 20 active), the weather-adaptive sky, notifications, groups, and calendar/CSV export — no account required. The paid tiers add depth and scale; they don't unlock a crippled core.
Any LocalVu feature you bought stays yours forever. ProVu-only features pause rather than vanish — your data is never deleted, existing assignments keep working, and you simply can't create new ones past the free limits until you resubscribe.
Because trust should be earned in small steps, not demanded up front. A one-time LocalVu unlock lets you own exactly what you need and keep it for life. ProVu is there if you grow into the reflection and capacity tools — but staying on LocalVu forever is a perfectly good place to land.
LocalVu unlocks and the ProVu subscription are purchased in-app through the App Store and Google Play. The Theme Store (extra background collections) is bought from VuCalendar on the web. SkyVu, when it ships, spans desktop and mobile.
Your tasks live on your device. There's no server-side storage of task content, no analytics on what you write, and no cloud dependency for the core experience. File attachments stay on-device too.
